my methodology
In my blog and vlog series, I will explore those topics mentioned in the video pitch, as well as the lecture and class topics, and becoming a self reflection of myself more so through the small video reflection vlogs on how I have changed through the years in my own methodology for planning and thinking towards my future. In the early prototyping stages of my DA I will do both the blog and vlog but i may find one more effective than the other and opt to do one instead of two. I won’t know this until I begin creating and researching.
production timeline
I have create this timeline to keep myself accountable and on track for my project. I intent to do a series of six blogs and three reflection vlogs that explore different topics. I’ve broken down the vlogs into ever second well and the blogs I have kept as weekly also planning for a final concluding piece for both. I’ve given myself submission week (WEEK 12) to edit these blogs and videos again.

My DA works under the FEFO and FIST concept:
FEFO:
In posting my blogs earlier I hope to create a big feedback loop that I am able to reflect on in the final week and in my final submission.
Fast – I can create fast videos that I feel reflect myself and my feelings. As well as my blogs i’ll be able to say what I need to say
Inexpensive – I won’t be spending anything but time on my project to get it to completion to my standards
Simple and Tiny – My blogs will be accessible and not too long. And the short reflection videos are easy to watch, and i could also post them to TikTok as well as alone on my blog.
I believe it connects to the subject of future cultures in the way we’ve differently viewed humanity and technology and their connection, but what about humanity and humanity, and humanity on themselves. The world is ever-changing, the future is now, and I still don’t know where I fit in.

Hi Hannah! A very interesting and personal topic you have chosen. I like that you are looking at your own future, I was just a little confused as to if you will be including the future of women in your DA project? If you did decide to include it, I think it would be a very interesting additive.
I really enjoyed the aesthetics of your video and post, it all flowed very nicely.
I think your target audience for this project is perfect. As a 20 something year old myself, I know I would be very interested to follow along with your project.
I don’t know how you would show an example of what you planned to do but I would’ve loved some more information or examples of what you were going to include in your project. I feel like I would’ve been able to fully appreciate the full potential of your project if I had a better understanding. A podcast could also have been a very cool way for you to present your project. I found this article about the benefits of podcasting, https://improvepodcast.com/benefits-of-a-podcast/
Look forward to seeing where your project goes!

Hi Hannah! I love how you plan to focus on your own future! Your DA sounds very interesting and because of how personal this will be for you, I feel that this will create epiphanies after your research and self-evaluation/reflection.
I know that in your video you mentioned you wanted to research a broad scope before focusing on particular topics more than others, but I think this could overwhelm you as there are so many routes you can take with your research and such a large variety of tasks and activities that could take you on very different paths.
I felt as though your pitch didn’t mention any specifics on what you plan to do or what you hope to achieve. This would have certainly allowed me to get to know you more and help me understand where you truly want to end up after uni. Based on a few brief mentions, and how we are studying comms and media, I assume you hope to end up in this industry, but I would have loved to have known where or a specific dream job, but I also assume, as you go on this journey you will be elaborating on this further.
As a suggestion, instead of creating a business plan, maybe focus on a career plan as this may be more of the style you seem to be going for based on your DA being centred on your future. I’ve linked an article that may assist you in creating one as it also includes an example and a template.

Hannah, I love this Da idea so so much! As you said, the world is forever changing and the future is really now. Through this DA, you can really explore elements of the future and yourself, you could potentially answer your question of where do you fit in, or even deeper, find meaning in our existence.
The advice I would give to you is to maybe begin your series with a light prediction and self-analysis – maybe predict where you expect yourself in the future and what you are like presently. This potentially could help you along this semester and you could come back to it at the end of the semester or even the end of the year, responding to whether how yourself was true or different. https://emergentbydesign.com/2011/11/03/8-tools-for-self-analysis-mapping-your-strengths-gifts-roles/ – this scholarly article could be really helpful in your self-analysis, a step by step guide.
Good luck on your journey and I can’t wait to follow along!

Your pitch contains some interesting subjects often under scrutiny in the media, especially workplace technology, gender discrimination and inequality and the need for urgent reform.
Regarding the actual pitch, the information was a little hard to hear at first, as it started out with a soft, tentative voice delivery, which can diminish audience attention. The pitch’s beginning and (throughout) would benefit from a louder, more expressive voice to engage the receiver.
The presentation uses, (mostly), a few moving picture images with voiceover. These images remain on screen for a long time. The pitch might improve by varying the images more, to reflect the spoken content. Some major points and quotes appear written in full on the screen and this boosts audience interest and helps focus attention/retention.
The pitch might be better if more written backup was incorporated to aid the voiceover – using sub-heading and point form rather than sentence/paragraph style.
The pitch’s purpose is clear and its discussion the impact of technological change on the media industry and women’s EEO in journalism will contribute to awareness raising. The examination of the issues’ impact on the presenter means an adaptation of the ideas and concepts via an absorbing personal interest story.
Being a Chinese resident in Australia I am interested in discrimination issues regarding race, ethnicity, gender etc in the workplace. I’m also interested in the impact of technological change in the communications industry.
I don’t know if you are going to include much historical information about in women in the media industry, but it might be interesting to see how much or how little has changed regarding contribution, pay differentials, managerial representation and EEO in general.

Hi Hannah
Firstly I love your DA the entire process is very thorough and you have such a clear method in your use of social media platforms and university accounts most importantly this is very beneficial to you in the Longrun in terms of establishing yourself as an individual and discussing potential growth paths. I think your methodology is great as you are quite consistent with your time management planning as well as the content do you want to create
I’m A major focus for your DA that I would focus on would be building a larger DA audience to create more of a public feedback loop it is clear that you are definitely going all the way with this one maximising your reach across all platforms and engagement.
I believe you should utilise Instagram stories as there are quite a bit of new features that can enable your blogging to be more interactive and fun. This will not only help with your personal objectives but will be another opportunity to build your audience and feedback loop.
I wish you all the best with the rest of your DA
